What is the Reuse Marketplace?

The Reuse Marketplace is a search engine that allows you to browse available items from eight Materials Exchanges.

What are Materials Exchanges?

Materials Exchanges are websites and stores that make reusable items no longer needed by businesses, municipalities, and non-profits available for sale or for free to anyone interested.

Listers save money by not having to pay for disposing of the items and the lucky ones who take a listing save money on purchasing new items.

It is also a winning scenario for the environment since a lot of reusable items don't end up in landfills.

Who funds the Reuse Marketplace website?

The US Environmental Protection Agency awarded a grant to the Northeast Recycling Council, Inc. to develop and manage the Reuse Marketplace through September 30, 2010.
